Begin by going on nature walks. This is a great opportunity for the children to make observations about the changes in the environment. Collect objects from nature such as leave and acorns and bring them into the classroom.

Develops: Fine Motor Skills

  1. Materials:
  2. Leaves
  3. Paper
  4. Crayons
  1. Process:
  2. Place the leaves underneath the paper
  3. Rub the crayons over the paper.

Develops: Fine Motor Skills

  1. Materials:
  2. Acetate (clear) paper.
  3. Red, yellow, orange and brown plasticine.
  1. Process:
  2. Make a Fall scene of a tree and leaves




Window Decorations and Mobiles
  1. Materials:
  2. Leaves in all colors and sizes
  3. Mac tac paper
  1. Process:
  2. Place the leaves on the sticky part of the mac-tac paper.
  3. Cover it with another mac-tac paper for a mobile or place it directly on the window for window decoration.

Develops: Math Skills - Shapes

  1. Materials:
  2. Leaves
  3. Construction paper
  4. Glue
  1. Process:
  2. Glue the leaves you collected on your nature walk in a form that will create a bird, a person, a bunny and so on.

Develops: Language Skills

  1. Materials:
  2. Paper plate
  3. Crayons or markers
  1. Process:
  2. Let the children draw four weather scenarios (rainy, windy, sunny and cloudy)
  3. Add the dial arrow.

The children turn the dial to the correct picture for that day. Great way to teach children weather vocabulary as well as time words such as yesterday, today and tomorrow. Earlier, now and later.

Fall Tree

Develops: Social Skills

All the children made a contribution in creating this tree. The process is a simple hand printing activity.

  5. Construction paper
  1. Process:
  2. Dip the acorns in the paint
