Sidewalk drawing is one of the many summer activities for kids. The moment the weather warms up my family and I want to live outside so I try to bring as many of our indoor activities to the great outdoors. Trucks, puppets, lego and of course painting and drawing materials. Introducing the same toys but in a new environment helps develop the child's imagination and creativity. In addition, the large motions children use when drawing with chalk on a sidewalk or a wall help develop their gross motor skills.
Tip: Add water and paint brushes to the chalk. The children will feel like they are painting with water colors.
