Little Bunny Foo Foo - Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes Activities

Use Little Bunny Foo Foo, one of many great mother goose nursery rhymes, as a way to teach preschoolers the important lesson that for every action there is a consequance...

... with it's easy melody and catchy lyrics the children in my class simply love it.

Nursery Rhymes Activities:

1. Create an action sequance following the lyrics of the songs. (Hopping, scooping, bumping and so on) - This is great for coordination and gross motor activity.

2. Act out the song as a play.

3. Discuss with the children situations from their daily lives where they did not listen and as a result had a consequance.

4. Explore the language used in the song in particular the play on words "Hare today Goon tomorrow!"

The Lyrics:

Little Bunny Foo Foo
hoppin' through the forest,
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny Foo Foo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.
And now I'll give you three chances,
and if you keep it up,
I'll turn you into a goon.
